As a queer and trans-affirming therapist, I work with folks exploring gender and sexuality and humans more rooted in their identity. If you are feeling lost, coping with depression/anxiety, struggling with substances, or dealing with complex family dynamics, I’m here to help.
In years of work on a suicide lifeline supporting queer and trans youth, I discovered my calling–to provide a warm, open, sometimes silly, and collaborative space for folks to grow. You are the expert in your own life. My job is to listen and bear witness to your story. Therapy is a safe space for us to work together to help you craft a fulfilling life. My approach is grounded in social justice using an anti-oppressive framework not limited by the gender binary. In my work, I incorporate many methods: CBT mindfulness, narrative therapies, attachment theory, and somatic techniques. I have an MSW from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and a BA from Wake Forest University. I am a white, queer, trans-masc, non-binary human. When I’m not working, I can be found cooking and setting off the fire alarm. I love cinematic masterpieces and “bad” romantic comedies equally. To unwind, I take long walks in Brooklyn wearing unsensible sneakers. |
