LGBTQ+ Affirming Care for Trauma and Addiction
Affirming queer identity is an essential part of my practice as is social justice and liberation from oppressive systems. With a focus on mental health, trauma, and substance use within the LGBTQ community, I work primarily with queer, transgender, and gender non-conforming people of color.
Our work together is focused on your needs and goals. Through my background as a writer, I understand the value of a supportive space to explore feelings. In our sessions, you'll find a safe environment for self-expression and personal reflection. From this foundation, insights emerge and growth takes place.
I have specialized experience working with gender, sexuality, anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, and substance use with a focus on both identity and intimacy. My style with clients is warm, dynamic, and personable. I utilize an eclectic approach in treatment--drawing from attachment theory, internal family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. However, therapy is a collaboration making our relationship the most vital part of the work.
I have an MSW from Columbia University’s School of Social Work, as well as an MFA from Columbia University and a BFA from Emerson College.

DEMYSTIFYING INTIMACY
A Group for Gay Men
As queer people, we’re taught having a mask helps us survive yet we also want meaningful connections. So how do we let go and allow for vulnerability when it feels right and protect ourselves when it doesn’t?
